Michael Ahlefeldt is a painter and freehand artist. In his series of line drawings, he explores the power of intuition and the subconscious. What appears at first glance to be a series of abstract compositions, gradually reveals joy, enthusiasm, and dynamic scenes in which multiple figures emerge and invite the observer to come closer. Michael Ahlefeldt’s approach is shaped by how he views the world around him and allows all this positive energy to find expression on paper.

Michael Ahlefeldt’s curiosity for new techniques and his fascination with form and color encourage him to strive to bring his drawings to life making them as vibrant as the scenes they represent. Their transformation into light “tableaux” featuring intense colors allows us to step into the world of the artist and to participate actively in the dance. Drawing to Light demonstrates the artist’s ability to bring his natural curiosity into play, capturing his own personal space and translating it into two diametrically opposite media. His mastery of technique allows him to simplify the drawings to focus exclusively on what is essential, facilitating its transformation.
